DWI Criminal Case

With the help of our law firm, a Columbia man was able to get the justice he deserved. During one late night, our client and a friend were driving in Columbia, MO. The driver had forgotten to turn his headlights on while on the road. His lack of headlights alerted a police officer who pulled him over. The officer questioned him and performed a field sobriety test. In the end, he refused to take a breathalyzer, and he was charged with a DWI.

We stepped in to sort out the facts and prove what really happened that night. In our collection of evidence, we were able to discover that the officer had no probable cause to give our client a preliminary breath test. We argued this to the jury, and we were able to amend his Driving While Intoxicated charge to a Careless & Imprudent Driving charge.
